形態特徵

• Rhizome short, densely tufted. Culms 8-40 cm long, smooth.
• Leaves many, 1-2 mm wide; sheaths short, brownish.
• Spikes 3 or 5, upper 2 or 3 subfastigiate, lower 1 or 2 spaced; terminal spike staminate, linear, 0.5-1.5 mm long, 0.6 mm wide, pale green to some what brownish; lateral spikes pistillate or becoming androgynous, with several staminate flowers at apex, narrowly cylindrical, 0.5-2 cm long, ca. 2 mm wide, subdensely to subloosely many-flowered, subsessile to short peduncle.
• Staminate glumes cup-shape, connate for most of length. Lower bract long sheathing (to 2 cm), rather long-blade. Pistillate glume ovate, 1.7 mm long, pale. Utricles longer than glume, ellipsoid or fusiform, suberect, 2.5-3 mm long, trigonous, many-veined, pubescent; beak short, minutely bidentate. Achenes tightly enveloped, ovate, trigonous, ca. 2 mm long, mitrate at apex; style enlarged at base; stigmas 3.

分布

• 台灣 : widely distributed from open grassy place to forest floor, sea level to 3,000 m.
• 世界 : Japan, Korea, the Ryukyus, Luzon, Borneo and New Guinea.
